In LAKSHMI’s mythology, the goddess LAKSHMI was born from the churning of the primordial milky ocean by gods and demons.

The churning process caused many things to emerge from the depth of the ocean, including precious gemstones, diamonds, and treasures. Besides, many celestial nymphs miraculously appeared from the ocean, which led them to be born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Therefore, LAKSHMI is the goddess of wealth, luck, beauty, and gracefulness.

In LAKSHMI’s love story, she is the wife of the god Vishnu or Narayana, and she is devoted to her husband. No matter how many avatars Vishnu had taken, LAKSHMI always stayed by his side as his consort. 

When Vishnu incarnated as the avatar of Ramayana, LAKSHMI also took incarnation as Sita. Also, when Vishnu took avatar as Krishna, LAKSHMI also reincarnated as Rukmini, or Ratha Saptami.

LAKSHMI is a devoted wife to Vishnu who is her first and forever love. She was unswervingly loyal and committed to Vishnu.
