“There are a lot of things to be happy about.” — Joy 

Joy is a happy emotion inside Riley, an 11-year-old girl from Inside Out. She always strives to make Riley the happiest girl in the world. However, when Joy falls into Memory Dump with Sadness, and faces the sad situation with Bing Bong, she tries to make Bing Bong think of the bright side. Unfortunately, it cannot cheer him up anymore. This moment teaches Joy that happiness can be mixed with other emotions, and it is okay to feel sad and cry sometimes. When returning to Headquarters, Joy decides to let other emotions do their job, since Riley needs all of them to function properly, ultimately making Riley the happy girl.
