The “4Cs” are the main widely accepted standards for assessing diamond quality. The 4Cs of diamond quality are carat, color, clarity, and cut.
Carat (ct) is the unit of measurement that is used for assessing the weight of the diamond. The more diamond weight, the larger it is.
Color generally ranges from D (colorless), which is considered a perfect and expensive color grade, to Z (light yellow or brown). RAVIPA only selects the high-quality diamond from D to H on a diamond color grade.
Clarity represents the purity of the diamond that is graded by FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, SI3, I1, I2, and I3, with FL (flawless) being highest and I3 being lowest. RAVIPA only accepts FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, and VS2 on a diamond clarity grade.
Cut refers to how well a diamond’s facets. It also refers to symmetry, dimension, and reflection of the diamond. If the diamond is cut perfectly, it will reflect light and sparkle. The more perfect a diamond's facet, the more reflective it is.
